Melissa has been represented by numerous galleries across the U.S. Her solo museum exhibitions include the Frye Art Museum in Seattle; the Bowdoin College Museum of Art in Brunswick, Maine; and the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY.  A solo show at Tatistcheff Gallery in New York City of Weinman’s was reviewed by Eleanor Heartney in Art in America magazine. Her work has been published in several books and journals, on contemporary art, including Women and Art: Contested Territory by Judy Chicago and Edward Lucie-Smith.  Melissa has been teaching painting for forty years at universities, Gage Academy of Art, and now privately from her studio.
